About Carl
Carl Fleck, K.C. is general counsel to Fleck Law, the personal injury firm he led as senior partner from 1992 to 2013. He was called to the bar in 1967 after earning a law degree and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Western Ontario, and the Law Society of Upper Canada certified him as a specialist in civil litigation in 1992. His practice has been limited to plaintiff-side litigation since 2000. Fleck was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1978, sat as a Small Claims Court judge from 1990 to 2002, and served as a Bencher of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2009-2011 and again in 2015. He has held director roles with the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the Advocates' Society and is regularly recognized by his peers as a leading personal injury lawyer.
