About Brian

Brian's work involves Indigenous clients from across Canada, and he regularly counsels Councils and boards on building and running economic development structures, along with strategies for taking part in capital projects on Treaty and traditional territories. He has been part of major infrastructure and energy initiatives, spanning generation, transmission, and storage, in Ontario, Alberta, and Newfoundland and Labrador, with a focus on increasing Indigenous ownership in construction contracting. His files have included community benefit agreements, impact benefit agreements, acquisitions, financings, and joint ventures across private and public sector projects. He is also engaged with the entrepreneurial community in southern Ontario, helping startups with business structuring, founding contracts, and financing rounds, and mentors through Futurpreneur's Indigenous Entrepreneur Startup Program.
