About Brent

Brent Timmons is a partner and head of the corporate and business group at Merovitz Potechin LLP. He has more than 20 years of experience representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, corporate finance, and commercial transactions, including cross-border deals for Canadian and international clients. He advises founders, investors, and issuers on matters ranging from shareholder agreements and corporate governance to joint ventures and executive compensation. Timmons is a Certified Legal Project Manager, was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2001 and the Ontario Bar in 2008, and holds an LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick and an M.A. in philosophy from the University of Waterloo. Originally from Nova Scotia, he is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society and the Law Society of Ontario.
