About Brendan
Brendan Alexander is an associate at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP practising criminal and regulatory litigation, having articled at the firm. He earned his J.D. and Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University, where he clerked for judges at the Court of Appeal of Quebec and competed in the Gale Cup Moot, along with the Canadian National Negotiation Competition, later receiving the Elizabeth Torrance Gold Medal as top graduate. Before practising law, he served 14 years as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, starting in artillery and later training as an intelligence officer, with deployments to Kuwait and Baghdad during the war against the Islamic State. He attended Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, earning an MPhil in International Relations, and studied history at the Royal Military College of Canada. Brendan is bilingual and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2025.
