About Brandon

Brandon Hastings helps clients plan, manage risk, and resolve disputes at Northpoint Legal, handling matters from early negotiation through litigation and appeals. He has led matters at every level of court in British Columbia, including precedent-setting Court of Appeal decisions, and works as a mediator to narrow issues and move disputes toward workable agreement. Hastings is a Barrister & Solicitor and Family Law Mediator with the Law Society of British Columbia, contributes as CLEBC faculty, writes a column for the CBABC's BarTalk magazine, and has founded and co-founded practitioner-technologist communities including Vancouver Legal Hackers and The Justice Hack. He holds a B.B.A. from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, a J.D. from the University of British Columbia, and an LL.M. from Cornell University, where he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2015.
