About Beth

Beth Gearing is Of Counsel and a practical, business-minded corporate and commercial lawyer with both big-firm and in-house experience. Her background includes roles at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP and Soloway Wright LLP, as well as in-house positions with Delta Hotels Limited and McKesson Canada Corporation/Rexall Pharmacy Group. Beth has advised on a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions, business purchases and sales, complex corporate reorganizations, and contract negotiations. While serving as Vice President, Legal Affairs at Rexall/McKesson, she helped develop and launch the Be Well loyalty and health app, working through trademark questions, vendor contracts, and regulatory and privacy compliance, and she later worked on privacy and compliance integration following McKesson's acquisition of Rexall. She was also involved in the Lansdowne Park development, representing Ontario Sports and Entertainment Group in its public-private partnership with the City of Ottawa. Beth holds an LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario (1987) and a B.A. from the University of Toronto (1984), and she mentors younger lawyers and business professionals.
