About Ash
Ash is a partner and leader of the National Tax Practice Group, with practice focused on domestic and international taxation. He has acted for fund sponsors, promoters and investors in connection with domestic and multi-jurisdictional funds, and advised public and private corporations on inbound mergers and acquisitions into Canada and Canadian companies expanding internationally. His practice also includes complex insolvency and turnaround tax restructurings, hybrid debt and equity instruments, and project finance and securitization transactions. In 2014, Ash received two awards from the International Tax Review for acting as lead Canadian counsel on the North American Financial Services deal of the year and the North American Private Equity deal of the year.
