About Benjamin
Benjamin Kormos founded Kormos LLP in April 2024 after fifteen years' experience at a mid-sized generalist firm, where he led a team of estate lawyers recognized across the province. He advises clients on estate planning, wills and trust litigation, and commercial litigation, and serves as an arbitrator and mediator. His estate practice covers probate and estate administration, Will interpretation and validity challenges, and matters involving mental capacity and undue influence, while his commercial litigation practice spans oil and gas construction disputes, contract disputes, and shareholder remedies. He served as Chair of the Canadian Bar Association's Alberta Civil Litigation and Wills & Trusts sections from 2019 to 2020 and has served as an elected director of the Canadian Bar Association. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Laws (Juris Doctor) from the University of Saskatchewan, and is a Qualified Arbitrator and Trust and Estate Practitioner.
