About Benjamin

Benjamin Hecht has over 35 years of experience in labour and employment law, focusing on advising management in both union and non-union workplaces. Benjamin joined Pitblado Law in 2009 following a three-year term as VP Corporate Counsel for a national trucking company, became a partner in 2011, and served as Managing Partner from 2013 to 2022. Benjamin represents clients in labour and employment matters before labour boards, arbitrators, administrative tribunals, and the courts, and negotiates collective agreements, workplace policies, and executive employment contracts. Benjamin's clients include employers in the federal sector and across Ontario and the Western provinces. Benjamin holds an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School (1986) and a B.A. from the University of Manitoba (1983), and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for Labour and Employment Law and Employee Benefits Law.
