About Robert

Robert Doran practices exclusively in litigation. He opened his own law firm in 1992 and moved his practice to Surrey, British Columbia in 1999. He studied sciences and then law at the University of British Columbia, earned a Bachelor of Law degree in 1980, and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1981. He has conducted trials and appeals in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Court of Appeal of British Columbia, and the Supreme Court of Canada. His practice is restricted to real estate and construction litigation, employment law, shareholder and partnership law, and business law. Robert has trained in mediation and alternate dispute resolution and draws on that background when negotiating settlements, though he does not practice as a mediator. He has lectured for the Public Legal Education Society of British Columbia since 1986 and is a member of the Human Resources Management Association of BC. He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia.
