Paul has 40 years of experience in commercial, real estate and corporate solicitor's work, much of it involving mining and forestry sector matters, as well as bankruptcy and insolvency. He has appeared before all levels of trial court in Ontario and before the Divisional Court and Court of Appeal. Paul is an advocate for community members with disabilities and often advises parents of disabled children on estate planning, and he serves Polish-speaking clients in their own language. He earned a BA in English from Lakehead University (1972) and an LLB from the University of Toronto (1976), and was called to the bar in 1978, joining Weilers that same year and becoming a partner in 1992. He has served on several community boards, including the Catholic Family Development Centre and the Community Support Services Council.
