About Aubrie
Aubrie Girou is a Partner who leads the firm's Estate Litigation Group and also works within the Wills, Estates and Trusts practice. Her work covers both solicitor and litigation matters concerning wills, estates, trusts and incapacity, including contested wills variation claims, disputes over unjust enrichment and trusts, breach of fiduciary duty allegations, and committeeship applications. She has appeared at every level of court in British Columbia and often resolves disputes through mediation instead. Aubrie also helps clients build estate plans designed to reduce the chance of conflict after death. She summered and articled at the firm, and before her articles she had clerked at the BC Supreme Court. She regularly writes and speaks for industry publications and events, and takes part in the firm's Women's Forum. Outside work she enjoys cooking, writing and going on trips with her husband and two children.
