About Athanasios
Tom Alexiou is a criminal defence lawyer practising in Kingston and the surrounding region, including Napanee, Belleville, Brockville, Perth, Picton, Ottawa and Toronto. Before becoming a lawyer, he worked as a high school law teacher, an experience that shaped his approach to explaining the legal process to clients. He completed his National Committee on Accreditation requirements in 2024 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2025. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from Queen's University (2024), a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Leicester (2022), and an Integrated Bachelor of Education (BA/B.Ed) from the University of Winnipeg (2008). His practice covers criminal charges ranging from minor offences to more serious matters, along with Provincial Offences Act cases, and he accepts Legal Aid Ontario certificates.
