Real Estate LawAnne Fagan has practised law in Newfoundland and Labrador since 1986. She holds a B.A. from Memorial University and an LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick, and received certificates in Mediation and ADR from the University of Windsor in 1996. She was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2011. She is a Taxing Master of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador and is recognized as a leading practitioner in surrogacy law, handling national and international surrogacy matters. She was Counsel for the Public Prosecutions Service of Canada and served as Counsel to the Commissioner of the Offshore Helicopter Safety Inquiry (2009-2011). She was a past president of the CBA Newfoundland branch and a director of CBA national and CBIA, and has served as a member of the Rules Committee for the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador and of the Disciplinary Panel of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador. Her practice covers family law, wills, estates and elder law, surrogacy, and real estate.
