Andrew Costin is the principal lawyer at Costin & Associates in Saint John, New Brunswick, providing corporate and commercial legal services to business leaders and high-net-worth clients across Atlantic Canada. He has advised some of New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada's largest private companies on transactions and financings, and has acted as New Brunswick and Canadian counsel to several publicly traded companies. He has testified as an expert witness before the Senate of Canada on the taxation of privately held corporations, and has acted as lead counsel on multi-jurisdictional acquisitions and for New Brunswick real estate developers and construction companies. His practice includes remote Chief Legal Officer services, private wealth and tax succession planning, corporate insolvency matters, and business mediation. He was lead counsel in Briggs (Re), 2020 NLSC 159, one of the rare instances of a bankruptcy being set aside in Canada, and serves as Vice Chair of the New Brunswick Assessment and Planning Appeal Board.
