About Andrew

Andrew Brodkin is a partner at Goodmans, sitting on the firm's Executive Committee, leading the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group, and co-chairing the Intellectual Property Group. His practice centres on high-stakes intellectual property disputes involving patents, trademarks, and copyright, and he has appeared regularly before the Federal Court, the Ontario courts, and on multiple occasions before the Supreme Court of Canada. He advises clients on developing, acquiring, and protecting intellectual property and technology assets, and separately counsels pharmaceutical companies on pricing regulation matters. Andrew has also handled litigation against government bodies, including obtaining a notable liability finding against the federal government over misfeasance in public office, and acted as co-counsel for the National Hockey League officials' union during collective agreement negotiations with the league.
