About Andres

Andres Pelenur is a Founding Partner of Borders Law Firm and is also an attorney at law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He served as the firm's Managing Partner from 2004 to 2015, then relocated to New Zealand to advise the Central Government on policy matters, before resuming his role at the firm in 2021 and as Managing Partner again in January 2024. He represents clients on Canadian immigration matters before Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the Immigration Appeal Division, and the Federal Court of Canada, and advises corporations on bringing skilled workers to Canada through work permit strategies such as Labour Market Impact Assessments, CUSMA permits, and intra-company transfer applications. He also represents clients on U.S. immigration matters, including L visas and USMCA professional, trader, and investor applications. Andres holds degrees from McGill University and the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law, and was admitted to Harvard University in 2015 for a Master's degree in South Asian studies. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
