Business & Corporate LawAndre Bourgon was born and raised in Cornwall, Ontario, and holds degrees in political science, sociology, and education, before completing a law degree at the University of Ottawa in 1998. Bourgon articled with Patrick V. Rudden and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2000, then joined the Ministry of the Attorney General as an Assistant Crown Attorney. In 2006, Bourgon was seconded to the federal Department of Justice as counsel on Canada's first war crimes prosecution arising from the 1994 Rwandan genocide, travelling extensively to East Africa on the file, and received a recognition from the Minister of Justice for exemplary professionalism in that international legal work. Bourgon's practice at Bourgon Law covers criminal law, family law, real estate, business law, wills and estates, and small claims litigation.
