About Bourgon Law Professional Corporation

Bourgon Law Professional Corporation is a small firm in Cornwall, Ontario, run by Andre Bourgon, a Barrister and Solicitor born and raised in the city. Bourgon studied political science, sociology, and education before earning a law degree from the University of Ottawa in 1998, articled with Patrick V. Rudden, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2000. After that call, Bourgon joined the Ministry of the Attorney General as an Assistant Crown Attorney. In 2006, the federal Department of Justice seconded Bourgon as counsel on Canada's first war crimes prosecution tied to the 1994 Rwandan genocide, travel that took Bourgon through East Africa and earned a recognition from the Minister of Justice for that work.

The firm now handles criminal defence, family law, real estate transactions, business and corporate matters, wills and estates, and small claims litigation from its office on Second Street East in Cornwall. Bourgon sits on the Legal Aid Ontario roster for criminal, Gladue, and Ontario Review Board matters, and offers services in both French and English. Kelly-Ann Dixon serves as Director of Services, and Rebecca Arseneau as administrative assistant.
