About Ana

Ana Henriquez, a member of the Quebec Bar, founded Henriquez Avocats in 2016. Her practice focuses on family law and immigration law, with particular attention to divorce cases involving domestic and gender based violence and to defending asylum seekers. While in law school she took part in the Pro Bono Program as an intern and was recognized for her involvement, earning a place on the Honour Roll at the Faculty of Political Science and Law at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM). Since 2000 she has also been a member of the Colombian Bar's Consejo Superior de la Judicatura, and she has held a specialization in public law since 2005. Before coming to Canada she had seven years of experience in civil, public and criminal law. She handles family law matters such as divorce, separation, custody, support, family property division and marriage annulment, and immigration matters including asylum claims, appeals, work and study permits, and sponsorship applications.
