About Amber

Amber Blair practises as an associate at Lenczner Slaght, handling intellectual property litigation along with commercial litigation, construction disputes, injunctions and appeals. She holds a BSc in chemistry from Saint Mary's University and an MSc in chemistry from the University of British Columbia, where her graduate research focused on improving the efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells. Before law school she taught chemistry at Simon Fraser University and worked in marketing for a large Canadian biotech company, background that helps her navigate disputes spanning pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, telecommunications and oil and gas. She previously practised intellectual property litigation at a large firm in Calgary after summering and articling at a national IP boutique. Amber holds a JD from the University of Calgary and is admitted to the bar in both Ontario and Alberta.
