About Amanda

Amanda Sansregret, QC is an associate at WRMG Law who practises solely in criminal law, specializing in Charter litigation and appellate advocacy. She has appeared as counsel before all levels of court in Manitoba as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba in 1987 and her Bachelor of Laws from the same university in 1991, and was called to the bar in 1992. She articled at Gindin Smith Pearlman LLP, then practised as an associate with Pam Smith until 2000, when she joined Legal Aid Manitoba as a staff lawyer. She joined WRMG Law as an associate in 2021. She was appointed Queen's Counsel on June 4, 2019, and is a member of the Law Society of Manitoba, the Criminal Defence Lawyers Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.
