About Allison

Allison A. Read is a lawyer at Ridgway & Company focusing on estate planning and administration, including wills, powers of attorney, and probate matters, as well as corporate matters. Born and raised in Trail, BC, she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria and graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of New Brunswick in 1997, and was called to the bar in 1998. She articled and worked as an associate in Prince George before moving in-house at a lumber company, then joined Marcotte Law in Prince George in 2022 to focus on wills, estates, and real estate. She was a member of the Prince George Estate Planning Council and a past board member of the Northern Patient Care Quality Review Board and the Crisis Centre for Northern B.C., and taught business law part-time at the College of New Caledonia.
