About Maureen

Maureen Terra has over 20 years of experience in real property law and leads MTERRA Legal Services, with an exclusive focus on real estate, including residential, commercial, and new-development transactions. She also provides consulting services to organizations such as the Manitoba Real Estate Association. Before opening her own firm in 2021, Maureen worked as an associate lawyer and then spent roughly a decade as a District Registrar and Deputy District Registrar with The Property Registry and Teranet Manitoba, where she helped lead the province's shift to electronic land titles search and registration. She now serves as a Professional Standards Advisor and Relicensing Education Instructor with the Manitoba Real Estate Association and teaches Real Estate Transactions at the University of Manitoba's Robson Hall. Maureen was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2004 and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Manitoba. She has served on the Law Society of Manitoba's Practice & Ethics and Discipline committees, and as a council member of the Manitoba Bar Association.
