While at Detroit Mercy, he worked at the Veterans Law Clinic, representing military veterans in disability claims before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Earlier in his career, he worked as a support clerk with Employment and Social Development Canada, assisting vulnerable individuals seeking government financial assistance. He is a member of the Durham Region Law Association.
