Creighton Law LLP is a full service law firm based in Oshawa. The firm describes itself as one of the oldest law firms in Canada and the oldest in Durham Region, tracing its roots to 1885, when it was established by John Frederick Grierson, whose father served as Oshawa's first police magistrate. T. Kelso Creighton joined the practice in 1919. Creighton was later appointed a King's Counsel in 1938 and served as a Member of Provincial Parliament in Ontario from 1945 to 1948. The firm's name changed more than once over the following decades. At one point it operated as Creighton, Victor, Alexander, Hayward and Morison before eventually becoming Creighton Law LLP.
