About Afifa

Afifa Hashimi practises in labour, employment, human rights, regulatory and administrative law, and articled at Moore Edgar Lyster LLP before joining as an associate on her call to the bar. During law school Hashimi completed co-op work terms at West Coast LEAF and in-house at a large BC union, and worked for the Migrant Workers Centre as a community outreach coordinator. Hashimi is Secretary of the Canadian Bar Association's national Constitutional and Human Rights Law Executive and received the CBA's 2024 Douglas Miller Rising Star Award.
