About Parente Borean LLP

Parente Borean LLP is a full-service law firm in Woodbridge, a community within Vaughan, Ontario. Don Parente and Gerard Borean founded the firm in 1991, and it has grown to seven lawyers who handle real estate, civil litigation, wills and estates, family law, business and commercial law, and municipal law for clients across the Greater Toronto Area.

Parente earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor in 1986 with Dean and Honour Roll standing and was admitted to the Ontario bar in 1988, building a practice around real estate transactions, business acquisitions, mortgage financing, and commercial leasing. Borean obtained a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1985 and was called to the bar in 1987, developing a litigation practice spanning municipal law, construction law, and commercial disputes. Borean's regular appearances before the Ontario Land Tribunal, formerly the Ontario Municipal Board, contributed to Novae Res Urbis naming Parente Borean one of the Top 20 Planning and Development Firms in the Greater Toronto Area in 2007, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2021, and 2022.

The firm's associates were called to the bar more recently. Gillian Gondosch, called in 2015, runs a civil litigation practice covering contract disputes, debt collection, and construction liens. Devon Goyo practices family law along with estate and construction litigation. Lucas Parente also practices with the firm.
