About Edge Injury Law

Edge Injury Law is a personal injury firm headquartered in the Malvern area of Scarborough, operated as Edge Legal Professional Corporation. It was founded by lawyer Simmy Yu, who spent 11 years practicing personal injury law exclusively at a Bay Street firm before starting the practice. The firm handles motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, occupiers' liability, and denied accident benefits or long-term disability claims, and takes cases on a contingency basis so clients don't pay legal fees unless the firm recovers money for them.

The founder holds a Bachelor in Business Administration, a Juris Doctor, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Laws, and a Master of Laws, along with certificates in negotiation from Harvard Law School, professional mediation from Cornell University, and adjudication from Osgoode Hall Law School. Matters have been brought before the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, the Licence Appeals Tribunal, and Small Claims Court. Beyond its Scarborough base, the firm keeps appointment-only offices in Markham and Niagara Falls and now takes calls from clients across the Muskoka region, including Bracebridge, Huntsville, Parry Sound, Kilworthy, and Severn Bridge.
