About Alamgir Hussain Law

Alamgir Law is a sole practice based in Scarborough, run by Alamgir Hussain, who has provided legal services in Canada since being called to the Bar of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2016. Hussain's legal career reaches back further than that: an LL.B (Honours) and an LL.M, both from Dhaka University in Bangladesh, in 1987 and 1989, and practice there before immigrating to Canada in 1998. The practice covers civil litigation, real estate closings, criminal law, family law, immigration law, and personal injury claims arising from car accidents and slip and falls.

Hussain immigrated to Canada in 1998, working initially as a social worker and serving as a director of the Bangladesh Association of Ontario. Hussain later studied law at the University of Ottawa before being called to the Ontario bar. Outside the practice, Hussain has held a number of community roles in Toronto's Bangladeshi community: director and president of the Dhaka University Alumni Association of Canada, founder and president of the Dhaka College Alumni Association of Canada, and publisher and editor of the South Asian News Weekly Shomoy. Hussain also founded and leads LAW TV, an IP television channel.
