Ortega Law Office is a small firm in Scarborough run by Jarvis Yap Ortega, a barrister, solicitor, and notary public. Ortega earned a law degree at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, Philippines, and was called to the bar there in 1995. Before moving to Canada, Ortega worked as an associate at Richard W. Sison & Associates and at Hermosisima, Sison and Inso, then became principal partner of Ortega and Mayol Law Office, practicing general litigation across civil, criminal, and corporate matters. After articling at the Law Office of Francisco Luna in Ontario, Ortega was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2005 and opened an independent practice in Scarborough.

The firm now handles family law, criminal matters, real estate sales, immigration (including immigration appeals), small claims, personal injury, and wills and powers of attorney, and it commissions affidavits and notarizes documents. It also refers clients with legal matters in the Philippines to lawyers there, drawing on Ortega's own background practicing in both countries. The firm serves clients in Toronto, Scarborough, and the surrounding area, and it offers an initial consultation to discuss a client's legal needs before taking on a file.
