About Orman Immigration Law

Orman Immigration Law is a small immigration law practice in downtown Toronto, established by David Orman in 1994. It's been helping immigrants and their families with permanent residency, temporary residency, citizenship, and refugee and asylum matters for more than 25 years. The team includes a managing partner, an associate lawyer, and a regulated Canadian immigration consultant, and the firm appears regularly before the Federal Court of Canada and the Immigration and Refugee Board on sponsorship appeals, refusals, and inadmissibility matters.

Beyond that core caseload, the firm takes on less common matters too, including mandamus applications to push along IRCC files stuck in long delays, and waivers of inadmissibility for clients who need to travel to the United States despite a criminal or medical history. David Orman earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario in 1991 and has argued more than 70 appeals before the Federal Court and more than 100 before the Immigration and Refugee Board. The firm serves clients in English and, through one team member, in Spanish.
