Muneeza Sheikh Law Professional Corporation is an employment and human rights firm at 181 University Avenue in downtown Toronto. Muneeza Sheikh opened the firm on June 1, 2024, after 14 years at Levitt LLP, becoming a named partner in 2021 when the firm was renamed Levitt Sheikh Chaudri Swann LLP. The firm now has six lawyers and takes on both sides of the employment relationship: representing employees in wrongful and constructive dismissal, executive compensation, and severance disputes, and advising employers on workplace policies, contracts, and workplace investigations.
The firm also handles workplace human rights complaints involving discrimination based on grounds including race, religion, gender, disability, age, and sexual orientation, and takes on media and high profile clients who need confidential representation in employment matters. Sheikh is a frequent commentator on employment and human rights issues for CBC, Global News, and the Toronto Star, and teaches courses on unconscious bias and workplace equity, diversity, and inclusion through Osgoode Hall Professional Development. The team works in English, Hindi, and Urdu.
