Jasmine Mary Ghosn is licensed in both Ontario and Nova Scotia, practicing as Health Lawyer (affiliated with Ghosn Law) with an office at First Canadian Place in Toronto's financial district and an office at Purdy's Wharf on the Halifax waterfront. Called to the Ontario bar in 2000, Ghosn has represented regulated health care professionals, including hospitals, doctors, nurses, dentists, dental hygienists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, veterinarians, massage therapists, chiropractors, and social workers, in matters before discipline committees and the courts. In Nova Scotia the practice also covers general litigation: professional regulation, commercial contracts, construction disputes, and shareholder disputes.
Before law school, Ghosn worked as an occupational therapist in Nova Scotia, assisting people with disabilities across different life stages and economic circumstances. Ghosn later spent seven years as health policy and legal advisor to the Ontario Dental Association, managing a province wide mediation program for patient disputes, and served as chair of the Ontario Bar Association's Health Law Section and chair of the Review Board under Nova Scotia's Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act. After two decades practicing law in Toronto, Ghosn returned to Nova Scotia in 2020.
The Toronto office sits inside First Canadian Place at King and Bay, a 72 storey tower that held the title of Canada's tallest building from 1975 until 2025 and remains part of the city's financial district, home to many of the country's banks and law firms. It's the kind of address that fits a career that started there: Ghosn practiced law in Toronto for two decades before returning to Nova Scotia in 2020.
The Halifax office is in Purdy's Wharf, a waterfront office complex at the northern edge of downtown Halifax linked to the city's pedway system and harbour boardwalk. Ghosn's family has roots in Halifax's Lebanese community going back to the nineteenth century, a heritage also reflected in Ghosn's work leading the Sisterhood of Diman Foundation, a Halifax connected charity tied to Lebanon's Kadisha Valley.
