About Hillier & Hillier

Hillier & Hillier is a two-lawyer personal injury firm based in Brampton, with a consultation office on Bay Street in Toronto for clients who prefer to meet downtown. Ava Marion Hillier, born in Montreal, holds a BA from Queen's University and a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, and was called to the Ontario Bar in Toronto in 1980. Ava Hillier joined Suzanne Hillier's Brampton practice and worked in general litigation, covering real estate, commercial matters, and criminal law, until 1987, when the practice became Hillier & Hillier and narrowed to personal injury litigation and professional negligence claims. Eddie Wiley, who holds a Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law and a BA from the University of Toronto, is the firm's second lawyer and also restricts practice to personal injury matters.

The firm takes on motor vehicle and cycling collisions, slip and fall and occupiers' liability claims, medical malpractice, catastrophic, brain, and spinal cord injuries, wrongful death claims, product liability, and denied accident benefits claims, including SABS disputes. It works on a contingency fee basis and doesn't charge legal fees until a client recovers compensation, with a free initial consultation by phone.
