Hennick Law is a personal injury and employment law firm in Toronto, founded by Lawson Hennick in 2019. Hennick studied biology at York University before earning a law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2009 and being called to the Ontario bar in 2010. Early in the practice, Hennick articled at a small litigation firm and worked on claims for Indian Residential School survivors seeking compensation through the Independent Assessment Process. Since being called to the bar, Hennick's practice has focused exclusively on personal injury and employment law. Hennick is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
The firm handles motor vehicle, motorcycle, cyclist, and pedestrian injury claims, slip and falls, dog bites, product liability, nursing home negligence, and denied CPP, long term, or short term disability claims, along with wrongful dismissal and other employment disputes, all on contingency with no fee unless a claim recovers money. Hennick Law keeps a small team: lawyer Sundeep (Sunny) Singh earned a JD with honours from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2017 and began working in personal injury law in January of 2020, and law clerk Melissa McKinley, a graduate of Seneca College's Law Clerk Program, joined the firm in November 2022. The firm says clients work directly with the lawyer handling their file rather than having it passed to someone else, and it also offers limited scope retainers for clients who want help with only part of a matter.

Free consultationHennick Law's office is on Yonge Street in Toronto, in the midtown corridor rather than the Bay Street towers where much of the city's corporate legal community is based. The firm says plainly that it isn't on Bay Street 'by choice', choosing a smaller footprint so it can keep overhead down for clients pursuing accident and employment claims rather than corporate work.
Because the firm serves accident and employment clients from across Ontario rather than one walk-in neighbourhood, the Yonge Street office works as a base for phone, video, and in-person meetings rather than a spot chosen for foot traffic.
