Friedmans LLP is a business and personal law firm in Toronto, working from an office in Flemingdon Park at 150 Ferrand Drive. William (Bill) Friedman founded the firm in 2002 after more than two decades as a partner at large Bay Street firms, and the firm's own site describes it as starting with one desk in an old bank vault and growing into a practice of more than thirty lawyers and support staff. Friedman earned a Bachelor of Civil Law in 1974 and a Bachelor of Law in 1975, both from McGill University, and was admitted to the Quebec bar in 1975 and the Ontario bar in 1978. Over that career Friedman worked on transactions that included the purchase and sale of Toronto's SkyDome and interim financing for Terminal 3 at Toronto Pearson.

The firm today covers business and corporate law, commercial and residential real estate, civil litigation, and wills, trusts and estate planning, for clients ranging from financial institutions and real estate developers to startups and individuals. Bryan C. Friedman, managing principal of the firm, started at two New York firms, Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton and Garrison, before running Axiom's Canadian business and later joining Friedmans. Litigation is headed by partner Judy Hamilton, who joined the firm in 2010 from another Toronto litigation firm and taught high school English and French before going into law.
