About Levitt, Lightman, Dewar & Graham LLP

Clients rate this firm highly on Google.

Levitt, Lightman, Dewar & Graham LLP (LLDG) is a family-run law firm in Etobicoke with roots that go back to 1949, when lawyers Donald Dewar and Jack Graham opened a practice near Dundas and Burnhamthorpe. Fred Levitt opened a separate Etobicoke practice in 1966, and Murray Lightman joined in 1977 to add family law, the same year Fred Levitt's brother, Sol Levitt, also joined. The combined practice ran for two decades as Levitt, Levitt & Lightman before it purchased Dewar & Graham in 1998, forming the firm's current name.

Today the firm is led by Richard Levitt and Abby Murrell, and it still handles the same core areas that built the practice: wills and estates, family law, real estate, and business law. Richard Levitt holds a philosophy degree from the University of Western Ontario and a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. Abby Murrell joined the firm after earning a law degree from Western University and was a member of the Real Estate Law Association during law school. LLDG serves clients across Etobicoke, Mississauga, Brampton, and the wider GTA, and it offers virtual consultations, digital signatures, and online booking alongside its in-person practice.

The neighbourhood

LLDG's history starts away from its current address. In 1949, Donald Dewar and Jack Graham opened a law practice near Dundas and Burnhamthorpe in Etobicoke, the same community the firm still serves. Decades of local sponsorships, from youth hockey and baseball leagues to seniors' groups and a literacy program, follow that same thread of staying close to Etobicoke rather than being tied to one storefront.

The firm now works out of Four Seasons Place in Etobicoke, continuing to serve the Etobicoke, Mississauga, and Brampton clients its founders built relationships with over more than seven decades, with the option of a virtual consultation for clients who prefer not to come into the office.
