About Eisen Law

Eisen Law is a small Toronto firm that practices exclusively in estate and trust litigation, guardianship and capacity, and elder law. The team, two partners, an associate lawyer, and a law clerk, works from an office in North York and represents clients across Ontario in disputes over will challenges, passing of accounts, trustee and guardianship conflicts, and power of attorney disagreements. The firm favours mediation where it can resolve a dispute, and its lawyers also appear before the Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and the Ontario Court of Appeal when a matter needs to go to court.

Shael Eisen, the firm's namesake, was called to the Ontario bar in 1981 after a law degree from Western University's Faculty of Law, and has spent several years as a guest lecturer in the estates course at Osgoode Hall Law School. Partner Cassandra Ball, called to the bar in 2015 after a JD from Western, joined the firm the same year and has since served on the Ontario Bar Association's Trusts and Estates executive council. Associate lawyer Juanita Valencia, called to the bar in 2021, joined Eisen Law in 2023 after working at estates litigation and family law firms in downtown Toronto. Law clerk Sandi Dwarka has worked at the firm since 2007. Eisen Law offers a free initial consultation for new estate and trust matters.
