About Capp Shupak

Capp Shupak is a personal injury firm on St. Clair Avenue West in midtown Toronto, with senior lawyer Marilyn Shupak practising there since 1979. Marilyn Shupak earned a B.A. from York University in 1973 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor in 1976, was called to the Ontario bar in 1978, and then served as a law clerk to the Chief Justice of the High Court of Ontario from 1978 to 1979. Nearly five decades later, the name partner still leads the practice alongside a small team.

Today the firm also includes lawyers Carly Cohen and Jennifer Shupak Goldhar, plus a senior licensed paralegal who has represented accident victims since 1995. Jennifer Shupak Goldhar articled at Capp Shupak before being called to the bar in June 2010. Name partner Harvey Capp holds the Queen's Counsel designation and takes on legal matters outside personal injury. The firm's core work covers motor vehicle accident claims, statutory accident benefits, slip and falls, brain and spinal cord injuries, and long term or CPP disability claims, appearing before Ontario courts and tribunals such as the License Appeal Tribunal. Cases are handled on a contingency basis, so clients pay nothing unless they recover compensation, and the firm offers hospital and home visits for clients who can't get to the office.
