legaldefender.ca is the solo criminal defence practice of Brian M. Micner, based in Toronto at Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue. Micner was called to the Ontario bar in 2009 after articling at a criminal law firm, and the practice has focused on criminal, quasi-criminal, and related regulatory and immigration matters since then. Cases have included assault, impaired driving, drug and weapons offences, fraud, property crime, and homicide charges such as murder, attempted murder, and manslaughter, with defences that have ranged from identity to self-defence, along with bail hearings and youth court matters under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
