About Yegendorf Rashid LLP

Yegendorf Rashid LLP is an Ottawa personal injury and insurance litigation firm formed in 1999, when partners at an established Ottawa business law firm decided to build a practice focused entirely on people with serious injuries. Founding partner Howard Yegendorf had already spent close to 20 years practising plaintiff law in Ottawa before the firm launched, and Najma Rashid joined that same year, becoming a partner in 2009. The two lawyers still lead the practice today, which deliberately limits its caseload to brain and spinal cord injuries, wrongful death, and other serious motor vehicle, slip and fall, and insurance claims rather than taking on personal injury work generally.

The firm works from a single office in downtown Ottawa's World Exchange Plaza on Queen Street, but its litigation practice reaches well beyond the city. Yegendorf Rashid meets clients across Eastern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area, including Kingston, Belleville, Brockville, Cornwall, Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton, wherever it's convenient for someone recovering from a serious injury. The firm takes cases on a contingency fee basis, charging 30 percent of any recovery, and offers a free initial consultation before a case begins. (Fees as of September 2026.)
