Cariati Law is an Ontario personal injury firm. The practice grew out of founder Mario Cariati's own experience. Injured seriously as a child, the founder saw the litigation process up close at a young age and later chose to represent injured people. Cariati was called to the Ontario bar in 2004, after a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School and a degree from the University of Toronto.
Most of the firm's work involves motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, catastrophic injuries including traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, dog bites, wrongful death, and denied long-term disability claims. It also takes on employment matters such as wrongful dismissal and severance review. Cariati Law runs on a contingency basis, so there's no fee unless the firm recovers for the client, and consultations are free. Staff can help clients in French, Mandarin, Cantonese, Italian, Hindi, and Russian, among other languages.
