About SNT Law

SNT Law is a small tax and corporate law practice based in Sudbury, serving privately owned businesses across northern Ontario in English and French. The firm works with owner managers and family businesses on tax planning, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, trust law, and estate planning, with an emphasis on helping clients pass a business to the next generation. It operates through an affiliation with the accounting firm Baker Tilly SNT, sharing space at 256 Lasalle Boulevard in Sudbury and combining legal advice with Baker Tilly's accounting, tax, and advisory work under one roof.

SNT Law has two lawyers. Danielle Perras holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in civil engineering and a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, was called to the bar in 2018, and completed the CPA Canada In Depth Tax Course in 2022, working with entrepreneurs and family owned businesses in sectors that include construction, farming, forestry, and mining. Jean-Noel Desmarais holds a Juris Doctor and MBA from York University's joint JD/MBA program along with a Bachelor of Commerce, was called to the bar in 2023, and is a fourth generation lawyer working in tax, corporate, trust, and estate law while currently pursuing the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada In-Depth Tax Course.
