Mason Poratto-Mason LLP is a Sudbury, Ontario law firm that traces back to 1990, when it started out as Desmarais, Ouellette & Mason. Two of its founding partners have since retired: M. James Mason, called to the Ontario bar in 1986, became senior partner in 2003, and Lise Poratto-Mason, called in 1988, had previously worked as a municipal and hospital solicitor. The firm's current lawyers are Adam Mason and Samantha Prescott, both called to the bar in 2018 and both graduates of Lakehead University's Bora Laskin Faculty of Law in Thunder Bay, a law school built to train lawyers for Northern Ontario.
