About Samantha
Samantha Prescott was called to the Ontario bar in January 2018 and earned her JD from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in 2017. She practises family law, child protection law, real estate, wills and estates, and civil law, and is a Legal Aid Ontario panel lawyer on the Family Law and Child Protection panels, working out of the Family Law Information Centre on Cedar Street. She began her career in Thunder Bay in 2016 and has litigation experience across Ontario courts, including the Court of Appeal and matters reaching the Supreme Court of Canada. A former teacher with the Rainbow District School Board who still does supply teaching, she volunteers with the Ontario Justice Education Network and has been featured in a CBC News story on police accountability. She speaks English and French.
