The firm takes its name from founding lawyer Lorenzo Girones, called to the Ontario Bar in 1970 and appointed Queen's Counsel in 1981, a certified specialist in civil and criminal litigation who has appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Founding lawyers Andre Bourdon, called to the bar in 1996, and Jennifer Kelly, called to the bar in 2010, joined Girones at the firm. Bourdon practices personal injury law, including motor vehicle accident and slip-and-fall claims, and wrongful dismissal matters, throughout Ontario. Kelly's practice includes family law; Kelly represented children in custody, child protection, and adoption matters as a panel agent for the Office of the Children's Lawyer in the Cochrane district, and grew up in Timmins. The current team also includes lawyers focused on criminal defence, civil litigation, and personal injury.
