About Yvan
Yvan Guy Larocque is a founding partner of Hall & Larocque, based in the firm's Winnipeg office, who advises and negotiates on behalf of Indigenous-owned businesses and governments. His practice covers Indigenous economic rights, consultation and accommodation, corporate structuring, taxation and trusts, governance, and commercial matters across natural resource development, financing, real estate, and mergers and acquisitions. He has represented Indigenous communities on major infrastructure and resource projects in mining, oil and gas, forestry, and renewable energy, negotiating impact benefit agreements and advising on Nation-led investments. A Manitoba Métis Federation citizen from Sainte-Anne, Manitoba, he previously served in the Royal Canadian Navy and Air Force, holds an LLM from York University, and serves as clinical counsel at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law's pro bono business law clinics. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2017 and in Manitoba in 2022.
