About Kaisha

Kaisha Thompson joined Duboff Edwards Schachter Law Corporation as an associate in 2022 and maintains a practice between Winnipeg and Ottawa, advising on professional liability, administrative and health law, construction matters, and commercial litigation. She also advises First Nations on elections, governance, and trust law. Before joining the firm, Kaisha spent five years at a national law firm in Ottawa, representing clients before the Ontario Divisional Court, the Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, and the Health Professionals Appeal Review Board, and has presented on First Nations trusts and the Crown's duty to consult and accommodate. She sits on the board of Dress for Success, National Capital Region, and in 2024 she and colleagues Evan Edwards and Jonathan Paterson received the Manitoba Bar Association Pro Bono Award.
