About Yoko
Yoko Azumaya holds a Master of Science from Hiroshima University in Japan and a further Master of Science in psychiatry, before earning her law degree in 2007, both from the University of Alberta. She has focused on family law since early in her career and has qualified as a mediator and collaborative family law practitioner. Azumaya works with couples to reach their own agreements on parenting, support and property issues, and is a registered Collaborative Lawyer, while also representing clients in court and arbitration when consensus can't be reached. Her practice includes negotiating cohabitation and prenuptial agreements. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers Western.
